Now, ISIS vows to wage war against India

July 2: Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) commander Ibrahim Awwad al-Badri on Tuesday vowed to wage war against several countries, including India, in a Ramadan speech, a report published in the Hindu said. [Read: ISIS seizes key Syrian town on Iraq border] This is the first time that the insurgent group mentioned about India in its manifesto and raised fears about the safety of hundreds of Indians who remain trapped in various cities controlled by the Islamist group, which is currently engaged in a fierce battle with the governments of Iraq and Syria, the report added. The ISIS leader said Muslims' rights were seized in countries including India Al-Badri, who is also known as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, invited believers to take up arms in the holy month and take on Allah's enemies and seek their death in the places where they expect to find it, the Hindu report aid. He said the rights of the Muslims have been seized in countries like China, India, Palestine, Somalia, the Arabian Peninsula, Eqypt, Iraq, Indonesia, Afghanistan and several other countries in Asia and Africa. Al-Badri said the ummah of Jihad was looking up to the jihad of the believers with hope. The speech was released online in various languages apart from English, the report said. The ISIS declared al-Badri as the commander of the failthful earlier this week and announced him as the leader of the Islamic caliphate that it eyes to create.
